Tour Description

Day 1/ San Jose- A Swiss Travel representative will meet and greet you upon arrival and provide you with all the necessary documentation that you will need during your vacation. Then,  be transferred to your hotel in San Jose which is approximately 20 minutes driving distance. Overnight at Presidente hotel (or similar).

DAY 2/SAN JOSE–ARENAL VOLCANO (Breakfast) A representative from the car rental company will deliver your 4×4 car.At mid-morning we recommend you to continuing driving through the northern lowlands, specifically to the Arenal Volcano area where its perfect volcanic cone shape will give you the welcome with the constant eruptions of lava and ashes. Two nights at Lomas de Volcán hotel (or similar).

DAY 3/ARENAL VOLCANO (Breakfast) Different tourist attractions can be found nearby Arenal Volcano. We recommend a visit to the Arenal Reserve, where you will find the Sky Tram & Sky Trek. This tour combines the ascent to the top of the mountain by an aerial tram, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Arenal Lake, while the descent is through the famous canopy tour, which goes from one mountain to another. If you prefer a more relaxed tour and admire the natural beauties of the northern plains, we recommend a visit to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, where it’s offered boat tours in the banks of the Rio Frio in search of different species of birds, mammals and reptiles.

DAY 4/ARENAL VOLCANO–MANUEL ANTONIO (Breakfast)  Drive to Central Pacific Coast, specifically to Manuel Antonio National Park. You will be passing through a scenic mountain road with various climates and elevations. On the way, you will be driving along the coastal road until reach the fishing town of Quepos. Finally, at just few minutes from there, you will arrive to Manuel Antonio National Park where you will be impressed by the magnificent beaches of this beautiful National Park. In this area you will enjoy three night accommodations at Villas Lirio hotel (or similar).

DAY 5 & 6/ MANUEL ANTONIO (Breakfast) Days at leisure for you to enjoy the hotel grounds, the beach and even consider on taking an optional (extra cost) day tours in the area.  Manuel Antonio National Park; Perhaps It is so popular because of its expensive white sand beaches backed by an evergreen forest that grows right up to the high tide line. Also, you will have a number of different adventure options like kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, diving, horseback riding and canopy.

DAY 7 /MANUEL ANTONIO–NARANJO (Breakfast) Drive to the San Jose Highlands. It is recommended leaving early in the morning in order to maximize and visit the different attractions that this route provides. You will have the opportunity to visit different national parks. The first one is the Carara National Park. With several miles of trails open to visitors, it is a great place to view much of Costa Rica's wildlife. Finally, visit the famous artisan town of Sarchí. Then arrive to Naranjo for overnight at Chayote Lodge.

DAY 8/NARANJO– SJO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Breakfast) According to your flight itinerary, Car Rental returns it’s programmed at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), to board your flight back home. END OF SERVICES.
